Journey Along Iceland’s South Coast
One day. Some of Iceland’s most iconic sights.
We leave Reykjavík and head south, through landscapes where volcanoes, glaciers, green plains and powerful waterfalls constantly replace one another.
Along the way, we visit some of the places Iceland is famous for around the world — from waterfalls cascading over ancient sea cliffs to the black volcanic sands of Reynisfjara and views of the glaciers that continue to shape this part of the island.
SKÓGAFOSS
A powerful waterfall around 60 metres high, one of the symbols of the South Coast. Get close and feel the power of the water cascading down before you.
REYNISFJARA
The famous black volcanic beach, basalt columns and powerful Atlantic waves create one of Iceland’s most dramatic landscapes.
VÍK
A small village in the far south of Iceland, nestled between the mountains and the ocean. A short stop amid the landscapes for which the South Coast is famous worldwide.
SÓLHEIMAJÖKULL
Get close to one of South Iceland’s best-known glacier tongues and see a world of ice that is constantly changing its shape.
SELJALANDSFOSS
One of Iceland’s most recognizable waterfalls. When conditions allow, a path leads behind the curtain of water, offering a completely different view of the waterfall.
